    Does my child need treatment before all their baby teeth fall out?

    Not always. Most children don’t need treatment right away. However, we often recommend early intervention for specific issues such as crossbites or severe crowding. Early treatment can simplify or even eliminate the need for later, more complex treatment.

    The length varies widely depending on the complexity of your child’s case and whether they need one or two phases of treatment. For comprehensive treatment, the average length is 18–24 months, but we will give you a precise timeline during your free consultation.

    Traditional braces are excellent for all cases, while Invisalign is a discreet, comfortable option that works well for many patients, including teens. Dr. Oberheim will recommend the best solution for their needs during the consultation.

    After treatment, your child’s teeth need time to solidify in their new position. Failing to wear the retainer as directed is the primary reason teeth shift back.
